Mise-en-scene blog tasks

Image
  1) Find a distinctive still image and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. Costume: Gustave wears a formal purple hotel uniform with a bow tie showing his professional role and high status within the hotel. Zeros similar uniform shows that he is an apprentice and has less authority. Lighting: the light is bright and even making the hotel look clean as the floor is shining in the background. there are very few dark areas which creates a cheerful atmosphere. Make-up: the characters have neat polished appearances. this fits the formal and carefully controlled style of the hotel  Props: Zeros hat can help suggest and establish the location of the shot. they also make the hotel appear wealthy and well organised Setting:They are in a hotel lobby which is very clean as you can tell as there is no random objects and the floor or that it isn't dirty as well and suggests that its a more better class.   2) Find TWO fil...

Mise-en-scene recreation planning

2) Create a plan of how you will do the recreation using CLAMPS . For each aspect of mise-en-scene, work out how you will recreate it as accurately as possible to the original.#   CLAMPS: Costume: i will be wearing a red top and black shorts to imitate what Amelie is wearing in the scene. Lighting: There will be a lot of natural lighting when outside with the sack of grains.  And more lighting when it comes to the frame of Amelie holding the spoon up to her face before breaking the creme brulee. During the scene where I will film a waterfall and skipping stones the lighting will mainly depend on the weather that day but I will edit it to make it look as close to the original as possible. Actor: Sami Masters Make-up and hair: tried to match Amelie as close as possible. Props: There will be a brown hay bag   Grains to fill the bag  A teaspoon  A Creme brulee Stones to skip (black ones preferably but any will do)  Setting: The settings will vary as the sc...

Film Poster Analysis

Image
the poster uses a dark colour scheme  which is blue and black which makes the movie look serious and mysterious also by looking at the characters. this shows that it is a hybrid genre film of sci-fi and action. the poster has guns futuristic machines, cars and buildings which make it look futuristic. Harrison ford the male actor on the poster is large on the poster which makes him look like the main character/ protagonist. the characters also have serious facial expressions showing that there may  be danger and conflict in the movie. the title is in bold typography so it stands out to the audience   the poster uses bright colours and has lots of characters on it which make it looks more of a comedy movie than horror movie. the characters facial expressions seem fake and exaggerated also like their body language, which shows its more of a comedy and parody movie. the mise-en-scene   uses thing linked with horror but they are shown in a silly way. the ti...
