  • Diegetic and non-diegetic sound
  • Parallel and contrapuntal sound
  • Sound bridges
  • Music
  • Dialogue
  • Voiceover
  • Sound effects
  • You also need to highlight or put in bold any use of media language.
The opening scene of baby driver uses sound in an intresting way to show the audience how the protagonist experiences the world. Diegetic sound  is used through the car engine, tyres, traffic and sounds made by the characters. The Non-Diegetic sound of the song playing in the background creates an energetic atmosphere while the audience waits to see what will happen next.  the music is also parallel sound because it matches the fast paced action making the scene feel intense also with the conventions of an action film. however contrapuntal sound is also used because the energetic and stylish music contrasts with the dangerous getaway they are in the scene.this makes the scene feel more unusual and memeorable. the music continues over multiple shots, creating sound bridges that connect the images, produce smooth transitions and keep the pace of the movie good to match the fast paced scene its on right now. this opening scene uses diegetic and non-diegetic   sounds to make the opening scene more immersive. the sound is not just used in the background it helps make the scene better and help the audinec know its an action film as it follows the normal conventions of an action movie.
